Long Term Fellowship In Retina & Vitreous

The examination and treatment of vitreo-retinal diseases has attracted the attention of a host of scientists and physicians. Beginning with only the direct ophthalmoscope a few decades ago, today one has several devices to precisely examine the vitreous and retina. Several treatment modalities using lasers and surgery are now available to treat a variety of conditions. With new refinements in instruments, devices and surgical procedures taking place each year, there is a need to keep oneself constantly informed of the latest research in the theory and practice of retinal diseases.

Objective of the fellowship training program is to impart skills in the management of medical and surgical diseases of the vitreous and retina. At the same time, the program is designed to develop and expand the scope of multidisciplinary research
